Artificial Intelligence’s human side


AI may be about to shed its reputation as a field focused more on technology than humanity.


Stanford Professor Fei-Fei Li tells LinkedIn that AI research is becoming an interdisciplinary endeavor requiring knowledge from various fields, including the humanities. Sociologists will need to work with AI engineers to help eliminate bias in algorithms, for example. “We still have a lot of unsolved problem of the technology itself and we're going to draw inspiration from neuroscience and psychology, cognitive science,” she says.
